Disposing of packaging correctly
To ensure that our packaging can be recycled and valuable raw materials reused, we ask you to separate and dispose of the individual components correctly. Thank you very much for your support!
Paper & Cardboard
Waste paper / Paper bin
This bin is for all packaging made of paper or cardboard:
- Shipping boxes
- Product boxes
- Paper filler material
- Inserts, instructions and paper labels
- Corrugated cardboard
Please note: Paper and cardboard should be as clean and dry as possible. Heavily soiled or greasy cardboard should be disposed of as general waste.
Plastic packaging
Yellow bin / Yellow bag
This is where you should dispose of all lightweight packaging made of plastic or composite materials:
- Plastic films
- Plastic postal bags
- Bubble wrap
- Plastic trays and cups
- Packaging made from mixed materials
- Adhesive tape and plastic labels
Tip: There’s no need to rinse out the packaging – simply making sure it’s ‘spoon-clean’ is quite sufficient.
Metal packaging
Yellow bin / Yellow bag
These include:
- Metal lids
- Tins
- Aluminium packaging
- Metal clips or fasteners
Glass
Glass recycling bins
Please sort glass packaging by colour before disposal:
- Clear glass
- Amber glass
- Green glass
Lids can usually be put in the yellow bin.
General waste
Non-recyclable or heavily soiled materials should be put in the general waste bin, for example:
- Soiled packaging
- Coated or wet cardboard
- Non-separable material residues
Key to a high recycling rate
Please separate different materials from one another wherever possible. This ensures that the raw materials can be recycled and reused as effectively as possible.
Thank you very much for joining us in helping to protect the environment.
